Eligibility

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

• be a student of the Master of Science in Sports Medicine and Health Science programme, The Chinese University of Hong Kong;

• be representing Hong Kong National Squad in sports events included in National Sports Association under Sports Federation & Olympic Committee, Hong Kong, China;

• have a good extra-curricular activities record, particularly in sports and community services;

• possess strong leadership qualities as demonstrated in their involvement in extra-curricular activities and/or community services; and

• provide one to two written recommendation(s). At least one reference must be from the respective sports association or sports club.

Selection Process

The selection committee will give consideration to the circumstances outlined in the application, along with the academic results, performance and any other requirements of the programmes have applied for. Scholarship will be awarded to eligible applicants on the grounds of proven athletic and academic excellence and their interview performance.

Conditions of Scholarship

• The scholarship is designed to cover the tuition fee for the scholarship holder. The granted scholarship period cannot be altered or extended beyond the study period.

• Award amounts will vary and are based on merit.

Application Procedures

• Application will be invited in September-November every year. Students will receive the details via email.

• Completed application form together with the supporting documents should be submitted to the programme office on or before deadline.

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a selection interview.

Important Notes

The programme reserve the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquires or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
