COURSE INFORMATION 課程資料
The Sports Trainer Re-accreditation Course aims to provide an opportunity for Sport Trainers to demonstrate their competency and to update their skills and knowledge so as to strengthen their ability in creating a safer environment for sports events and competitions. After completion of the course, students will be awarded a 3-year certificate of:

Re-accreditation for Sports Trainer issued by The Chinese University of Hong Kong
If you have already completed the Sports Trainer Course – Advanced Level in the previous cohort and wish to extend the 3-year certification, you are welcome to apply for this course. (Please refer to your Sports Trainer Certificate for expiry date.)
For those who only completed the Sports Trainer Course – Fundamental Level in the previous cohort, you are required to compete the restructured Sports Trainer Course (2026 cohort or onward) before applying this Re-accreditation Course.

With effect from 13 July 2021, Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is not a Licensed Provider of the Sports Medicine Australia Level 1 & 2 Sports Trainer Courses.

Admission Requirement 入讀要求

Must have completed the Sports Trainer Course - Advanced Level in the previous cohort

Completed at least 50 hours of work experience in an employing club or organization over the past 3 years
Graduation Requirement 畢業要求

Attend 95% of classes
-
Complete 50 hours of service in an employing club or organization within one year AFTER the completion of the course (fill in the record sheet/ provide a letter of service; with staff's signature and company chop on it)

Current holder of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate; Or equivalent*
*BLS certification requirements:
Knowledge of BLS is essential for one to perform acute injury management. Certification will ONLY be endorsed after acquiring the Basic Life Support certificate (BLS cert) or equivalent
(i.e. AED & CPR / AED & First Aid certifications), within 6 months after completion of the course.

For those who are NOT current holder of BLS certification, you MUST provide the confirmation letter/ payment slip of successful registration for a BLS course together with your application.
